Monster of Negley Hall (Earth-616) from Marvel Mystery Comics Vol 1 40 002

Morgan

Negley Hall was a castle located in Europe that was supposedly haunted by a monster that walked its hauls. In 1943, Pathos Pictures was struggling and their make-or-break film was one that saw the purchase of Negley Hall and having it transported brick-by-brick to the mountains of Arizona. The producer on the film as a man named Morgan who sought to drive the company into bankruptcy so that he could purchase it as cheaply as possible.

To this end, he took advantage of the legends of the Monster of Negley Hall and roamed it's halls and secret passages in a costume. He first captured one of the set builders and then the lead actress. However, his plot was foiled thanks to the arrival of the Vision who managed to find the secret passage ways and free his prisoners.

Morgan was no match for the hero who easily subdued him after a chase and unmasked him. Before being carted off to prison, he confessed his plan to the owner of Pathos Pictures, Mr. Smythe, who believed the publicity of this whole affair would make the film popular enough to save Pathos Pictures.[1]

Morgan's subsequent fate is unrevealed.
