Reprint of the 1st story from
Journey Into Mystery #61
A mechanical being from an alien world visits Egypt thousands of years ago and demands tribute. There is an off switch located on its foot which was how it was incapacitated initially. In the modern day the creature is located in a museum until some playing children trigger the stud once more. That evening Gomdulla breaks out of the museum and recruits a high priest to set up a cult in order to acquire tribute. A man tries to arrest the high priest but Gomdulla interferes. The police officer is helpless before Gomdulla's ability to levitate and hurl the stones of the pyramid themselves and just before Gomdulla administers the fatal blow, the high priest throws himself against the foot stud in an effort to save the man's life. It works, and the priest tells him that he was not serving Gomdulla voluntarily, but out of fear of what he would do to the local populace.

Synopsis for "When The Space Beasts Attack!!"

Reprint of the 1st story from
Tales to Astonish #29
An alien armada lands on Earth with weapons that, unknown to the humans, can only disintegrate inorganic material. The aliens are the Space-Beasts and have easily conquered many other worlds before Earth. They bluff their way into getting a surrender from the human populace and conquer the planet. However, when they demand a man vacate his farm in order to make way for a spaceport, the farmer gets so angry that he lays the alien out with the butt of his rifle. The aliens disintegrate things like trucks and houses, but they don't hurt people. Once the farmer realizes this and spreads the word, the aliens retreat from the human's firearms. The Space-Beasts retreat, and the planet is saved.

Synopsis for "The Maiden and the… Monster!"

A hideous sea beast is on display at a local aquarium, though no one knows from whence the creature came. The security guard tells a curious onlooker the story of the previous guard. Apparently he was very cold and aloof, avoiding everyone else and had a burning hatred for the sea creatures at the aquarium. He would torment and abuse them because he himself possessed the scaly skin of a fish over much of his body. One day a well known witch visited the aquarium and the guard begged her to help him. She agreed only once the guard had threatened her life, she agreed to grant the man his 'normal' form. She transformed him into a hideous sea creature, as that was his natural form, being as cold and ruthless as he was.
