History
Origins[]
Mot, which is possibly an alias for Nergal, was a death god living in the underworld of Irkalla.[1]
Early years[]
Seeking the secrets of life and death, Ba'al went into Irkalla. There, Mot tricked him into eating from the table of the dead,[1] killing him[2] and entrapping him in the afterlife.
Ba'al's wife Anath defeated Mot, ensuring Hadad's resurrection.[1]
Modern era[]
In the modern era, Mot served Death in her plan to shape the Thing into her new consort. After the Thing broke up with his girlfriend Alicia Masters, Mot aided in keeping Alicia trapped in an unspecified Hell Dimension while Death attempted to seduce the Thing on Earth masquerading as choreographer Amaryllis Dejure. However, after the Thing discovered Death's plan, he transported to the Hell Dimension where he defeated Mot in combat on his way to rescue Alicia.[4]See Also
