History

Mother Nzaga was a Burundan woman. During the regime of General-President Raul Bushman, Nzaga allied herself with Bushman's enemies, the undercover rebellion led by General Jonathan B'kosa. Not a combatant herself, Nzaga was consulted by B'kosa about their immediate future. In one such occasion, Nzaga sculpted the head of American superhero Moon Knight, claiming that this person would be in their future, among "darkness and blood";[1] she also claimed that he was a god of vengeance. Indeed, Moon Knight joined the rebellion soon afterward, and confirmed that the sculpture looked like him. He refused to confirm that he was a god himself, thou he admitted he was in contact with gods and agreed to pretend to be one for the troops. Nzaga later told some of the troops that Moon Knight's real name was Khonshu[2] - who was the god Moon Knight was in contact with.[3]

Soon afterward, Bushman's Army found the rebels' camp and, using combat airplanes, strafed it. Nzaga was hit by the bullets and probably killed, either on impact[4] or when Bushman's men took over the camp.[5]

Attributes

Powers

Mother Nzaga showed extraordinary clairvoyant capacities, apparently due to the spirits showing her the truth. She sculpted the head of Moon Knight in clay and said that this person would be relevant in her allies' immediate future,[1] which was revealed true. After Moon Knight joined them, he noticed the bust indeed looked like him. Mother Nzaga also said that Moon Knight's real name was Khonshu and that he was really a god of vengeance who, in her vision, turned earth into fire with his rage;[2] this is imprecise as Khonshu was really a god of the moon, not of vengeance,[6] and Moon Knight was Khonshu's champion on Earth as the First of Khonshu, but was not Khonshu himself,[3] but was nonetheless quite surprising.[2]

Mother Nzaga's visions however were not enough to prevent her allies' camp from being found[2] or her enemies from shooting her.[4]

Abilities

She could sculpt clay.[1]

Weaknesses

Mother Nzaga was apparently blind.[1]
