History
As the final test to determine if Ali-Ben Ar was the one true prophet awaited since the time of Mohammed, he had to ascend the Mountain of Sighs alone and remove the huge boulder from in front of the tomb of the old prophet, and then enter the tomb, remove the sarcophagus lid, gaze at the bones of the old prophet and remove the scroll it had been said was clasped between his hands, then read it. Following the death of his father, Caliph Abu-Ben Ar, Ali ascended to the summit of the Mountain of Sighs to confront the alleged murderer Solomon Kane.
Their battle was interrupted by a Portuguese slave merchant, who held Solomon at gunpoint and ordered him to remove the rock and open the cave entrance, a feat that only the Prophet was believed to be able to accomplish. Wishing to seize the great treasures of the crypt, the Portuguese were suddenly killed by the bite of an asp hidden within the sarcophagus. Solomon then saved Ali-Ben Ar from the same destiny, and the soon-to-be Prophet changed his mind. Confused after reading the riddle contained in the sacred scroll, Ali-Ben Ar refused to become the Prophet, deciding to be the next caliph instead, and returned with Solomon to the royal palace[1].
