History
This version of Mourning Prey presumably has a similar history to her Earth-691 counterpart.
During the Destiny War, Mourning Prey was rescued by Immortus and was given a safe place to breed and lay her eggs in the great vibranium mound of Wakanda. She encountered the Avengers, and her offspring attacked several of them. They fought back until Mourning Prey used her telepathic powers to communicate with Captain America. She revealed that her swarm of children needed the vibranium to live, and the attack was ended. As a consequence, the surviving humans would be unable to use the scant resources of vibranium to construct a space fleet with which to counterattack Mars, thus preventing Earth-9930 from evolving into one of “Terran Empire” realities that Immortus feared.[1]
