History

In the 1880s, Ms. Chloe was a librarian who died after two kids popped an inflated paper bag behind her. She was startled, causing a bookshelf to fall and crush her. She became a ghost with the ability to nullify sound, and haunted her library. Miss Chloe's Library was eventually closed down, and was demolished sometime between 1950 and 2010. A music venue called Loud Louie's Dance Emporium was built in its lot. When it opened, Ms. Chloe's ghost emerged and used her powers to silence all of New York City. Squirrel Girl and Iron Man were present when it happened, and tried to take down the ghost to no avail.

While other heroes tried to defeat the spectre as it destroyed Loud Louie's Dance Emporium, Squirrel Girl took a different approach and tried to befriend Ms. Chloe. Squirrel Girl stopped her when she was disrupting the rebuilding of Loud Louie's Dance Emporium, and approached her to connect through books. Her plan succeeded, and Ms. Chloe agreed to help Squirrel Girl defeat several sound-based criminals, and also restore the sound to the city. She additionally found a job at the Library of Empire State University. She worked as the overnight librarian, and used her powers to silence people when they were too noisy.[1]
