Synopsis for "Traveler's Tales"

Seven years ago, William Traveler visited a magical pawn shop in search of a magical artifact known as the Eye of Watoomb. After acquiring that object, he killed the shopkeeper with a spectral lion and inserted the Eye in his left eye socket.

In the present, Carol is getting ready for her interview with Super Powers at her apartment. Her publicist, Sarah Day, informs Carol that her popularity has taken a downturn after what happened in Spaulding and the interviewer, Lori Griffin, also wants her opinion on the Superhuman Registration Act. When Lori is seen playing with a cat, Carol affirms she does not have a cat and deduces something wrong is about to happen, putting on her Ms. Marvel outfit.

Then, Traveler crashes into her apartment and attacks Ms. Marvel to avenge his defeat at her hands in the House of M universe. After making sure the visitors are safe, Ms. Marvel incapacitates Traveler and takes him to Dr. Strange, who restrains him with the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak and heals Carol's injured arm. Dr. Strange informs her Traveler's sanity is deteriorating, but that will make him even more dangerous because of his magic power.

Also, Wong gives Carol a package: a new cell phone, to replace the one she lost. As soon as Carol gets it, Sarah calls her and informs her that she rented Carol a room at the Ritz under an alias while her apartment is in repair. Dr. Strange asks Carol to leave Traveler in his custody, under his supervision and she agrees. After Carol leaves, Dr. Strange tells Traveler that his connection to the mystic forces must be removed. But Dr. Strange is unable to stop Traveler as he breaks free of his restraints and knocks the Sorcerer Supreme out. He then obtains the Wand of Watoomb, increasing his power.
