History
Mudbug was the son of a rural Alabama family who was one of the many thousands of new mutants activated upon the dispersion of the Phoenix Force by Hope Summers. Upon the manifestation of his powers, his family began calling him "Mudbug" and made him sleep in the doghouse. The new Black King of the Hellfire Club recruited him, along with Sauron, the Wendigo, Lord Deathstrike, and three mysterious individuals including a female Spineless One, for a plot against the Jean Grey School, which Mudbug accepted, as he felt Wolverine had sold out by starting the school.[1]
Mudbug later popped up as a member of the Shadow Council's Masters of Evil in Bagalia.[2]Attributes
Powers
Mudbug is a new mutant activated after the Phoenix dispersion, and has displayed the following mutant powers:
- Crayfish Physiology: Mudbug has a physiology similar to a crayfish including a carapace, extra legs, antennae, and large pincers. He seems to have some degree of pain resistance.[3]
