History

First encountered Kang when Kang wondered how he would become "the hero" to obtain the Missing Moment. Myrddin responded that Kang would never be one, same as him, however Myrddin did commend Kang for seeking "the ultimate prize".[citation needed]

Myrddin was aware of all of Kang's security codes and claimed that Kang was no closer to finding the "missing moment" even after trying to find it for a year. Myrddin sent forth his Twilight Court knights to destroy Kang. Kang realized they were no match for him. He allowed Myrddin to seize his flagship and get his victory, but not before self-destructing it and escaping.[citation needed]

The Twilight Court followed Kang through time and space, and eventually they fought on the Blue Area of the Moon. Kang managed to defeat the Court's champion Parsifal, but Myrddin stabbed Kang in the back, causing him to escape again. Afterward, Myrddin retreated to his chamber, admitting to himself he had hoped better for Kang and wondered if Kang would do better, had he realized who Myrddin really is. Myrddin also claimed to have plans for other villains such as Baron Mordo, Mister Sinister, and Ultron.[2]

Myrddin accompanied the Twilight Court to the Impossible City, where the other members fought the Avengers.[3] He woke Kang from his coma but erased the conqueror's memories of tribulation events.[4]

Notes

  • Myrddin hopes to one day put aside his mask, his "wizard's mantle", when he is "all that remains".[2]
