Joe was a stuntman wand special effects expert who used his talents for criminal purposes. As Mysterio he has been defeated by Spider-Man several times.[citation needed]

Notes
- Despite being an almost-direct adaptation of Mysterio as he originally appeared in the comics, this version of the character doesn't appear to be called Quentin Beck. In his debut episode, Mysterio is called by the name "Joe" when out of costume by one of his co-workers at the television studio.[1]
