A man builds an electric time travel machine which travels back into the past where there is no electricity to power it to move forward in time again.

Synopsis for "The Door!"

The Duke's wife is cheating on him with his younger brother. They poison the Duke and search below for a door which matches his painting. The pair of them locate the treasure chamber but it is below the water level of the grand canal and when the tide comes in water begins to flood. They search for a way out but all the doors look like the dead man's painting and they drown.

Synopsis for "Too Lucky To Live!"

George attempts to convince his friend Chalmers that superstition is rot and he leads a charmed life. George defies various bad luck superstitions and finally takes Chalmers to a building rooftop where he walks along the corner with his eyes closed. Chalmers, who reveals himself as Death, has had enough and pushes George off the roof telling him that "he's too lucky to live."

Synopsis for "The Phony!"

Two detectives think a seer is a phony and attempt to put him on a train out of town. One of men gives his car key to the other and when the seer takes it and attempts a reading the detective denies any of the things he says are true about him. The seer begins to believe that his power has deserted him and threatens suicide. The one detective confronts the other about the seer being a phony and the other man admits what the seer said was true about him and it was his car key as well as his gun is missing. The two hear a single shot ring out while standing outside the train car.
