Synopsis for "Skull-Face"
To publicize a horror movie, a scientist performs an experiment to bring a skeleton to life. Unexpectedly, the experiment works and the skeleton murders both the scientist and the movie's publicist, but no one believes the truth, which they dismiss as a publicity stunt.

Synopsis for "Night Try"
After fleeing the police, Wollheim came upon the town of Hillton, which was built around a prosperous factory, and planned to rob the factory. Wollheim decided to rob the factory during a blizzard and upon arrival, he saw the cashier and shot him before loading money into his bag and escaped before the driver of a jaloppy entered the factory.
As he heard the sounds of police shooting, Wollheim reached the foothills of a mountain and struggled to find a hermit's cabin, where he planned to stay. After finally reaching the cabin, Wollheim opened the door with his gun ready and saw a dead hermit, who died before laying in his winter supply of fuel and food. Wollheim saw empty shelves and heard the cold wind coming from outside. He screamed, but nobody heard him.

Synopsis for "Thief in the Night"
Thief Blackie and his partner plan the perfect heist by infiltrating a boat carrying a priceless ruby, they get spotted and after the partner is knocked out Blackie jumps alone of the ship. The partner is them awakened by guards who say the boat has already sailed and the partner reveals Blackie couldn't swim and has drowned.

Synopsis for "The Face in the Mirror"
An older wealthy man with feelings of jealousy buys Lucreza Borgia's mirror as a gift for his young wife. When he sees them together in the mirror the mirror shows a reflection of hate on the woman. His jealousy makes him confront her and she tearfully denies it. He refuses to believe her and she commits suicide by leaping from the top floor of the mansion. When he looks into the mirror once again he clearly sees that the hateful woman inside is Lucreza Borgia.

Synopsis for "The Traitor!"
A disgruntled scientist decides to become rich and powerful by selling the secret of a new detonator to communist spies. While he gets his payment the communists release an atom bomb with the detonator into the very same city he lives!
