Synopsis for "The Stranger"

Ed Lang, a writer for the occult, is seen trying to awaken the Demon Of Death when he entering a brief argument with his fiancee Laura, reassuring her that they will do something a few weeks later when his work is done. In a week time, Laura cames back. At first, Ed was annoyed but got concerned when she did nothing but stare at him, and later shocked when he received a called from Laura. Wondering who the laura in front of him is, the woman began to seduce him, telling him that she's the one he loved and other is an imposter. At first, he was reluctant but began to lean in, only for the real Laura to arrive, wondering why her sister (Frances) was there.

This made Ed confused, especially as he seen Laura sister and they look completely different. After reassuring him, that it is her sister, both decided to head down and get her a cab. However, things only got more complicated as the bellhop spot 'Frances' and say that his girlfriend (Mabel Wayne) and at the lobby an older gentleman claimed that woman is his wife Peggy. As Ed began to realize what happens, the woman disappeared with the Bellhop, the Older Gentlemen and Laura began to search for their respective loved ones. Ed went back to his room to check his notes, realizing he did awaken the 'Demon of Death', which has the power to take on the shape and features of whoever is loved by anyone who sees it, and whoever kisses the demon dies.

As he realizes this 'Laura' appeared again, shocking him. Wondering if she the real one, 'Laura begins to seduce him, he is only saved once again by Laura calling him again, saying her sister was home all along. Putting the phone down, he say's it's the wrong number and convinces Laura that she should rest in hs room for awhile.

When Laura came back, Ed began explaining what going on, and tells Laura that she has to be the one who kills the demon (Due to him being weakwilled around it). Laura agrees as she heads into the room and (Cover by the bed curtains, killed 'Laura'. Ed cheers at this, telling Laura, that he will report this and will give up on his work on the occult. After giving a celebratory kiss, he realize too late that the one who died was the real Laura as the 'Demon Of Death' reveals it's true face.

Synopsis for "The Forest of Living Dead"

A girl's stepfather transfers his blood into the forest trees which make them do his bidding. When the girl's intended meets with the stepfather to ask permission to marry he realizes the stepfather is insane and flees into the forest. The tree limbs wrap themselves around the young man and the girl goes into the forest looking for him. The stepfather and the trees mistake her for her dead mother and release the man. The trees turn on the stepfather and the two lovers make their way out of the forest.

Synopsis for "The Man Who Cheated Death"

In 1949 a sea captain murders a man in order to get his life vest as the ship sinks. He cheats Death on the ocean, but Death appears to him after he has been rescued and tells him that in order to balance the books he must live life as the man he killed who was not scheduled to die until 1999. The captain doesn't think this sounds so bad and so he agrees to go to an African village where he learns that the man he killed was dying of a slow flesh-eating disease he had contracted. He tries to throw himself into the ocean so that he can have his death back, but the ocean now rejects him. Death ignores his pleading and tells him he will be back for him in fifty years.
