Synopsis for "Stone Walls Can't Stop Him!"

A prison guard sees death row inmate Carl walk through the stone wall of his cell. He's so flustered that when he leaves his shift he doesn't say anything to his replacement. When he arrives home he discusses Carl's case with his wife and remembers Carl was very remorseful for shooting his victim Molly when she walked in on a store robbery. Acting on a hunch he drives to the cemetery where Molly is buried and sees Carl at her grave pleading for forgiveness. He hears a woman's voice saying she forgives Carl and Carl vanishes. The next day at work when he arrives he's informed that Carl was found dead in his cell from a heart attack.

Synopsis for "The Dream People!"

Baker desperately wants to be a successful play writer so much that he plagiarizes the work of his friend. Baker dreams that he appears before an audience and thinks this is the way to achieve his dream. The friend discovers what Baker has done and they fight. The friend is killed and Baker is arrested. When Baker appears before the jury he wonders if this is what his dream was attempting to represent to him.

Synopsis for "The Lair of the Thunder Lizard"

Jacques is frustrated by the tall tales of an old man regarding a prehistoric thunder lizard living in a cave so he decides to go down in there with an infrared camera to prove nothing is there. Much to his surprise when the film is developed it does display a giant lizard. The locals are concerned it may come out of the cave and attack so the old man volunteers to accompany Jacques into the cave and shoot it while Jacques films its death. The film that is developed after they return shows a dead lizard and the locals relax. While Jacques is putting away his camera a regular dead lizard falls out and Jacques realizes that it must have crawled in the first time he went into the cave and then starved while trapped in the camera. At first Jacques thinks to expose the old man but then changes his mind to allow him enjoy telling his stories.

Synopsis for "The Sleeping Man"

In 1457 Wolfgang invents a perpetual motion machine and instructs his robot servant Karl to attempt to sell it every one hundred years. Previous attempts are rejected as black magic but even in America in 1957 Karl can't get the patent office to issue a patent for a perpetual motion machine. Karl explains the device has functioned for five hundred years but is met with rejection once more so he prepares for another one hundred year sleep. The device is Karl's power source.

Synopsis for "Try-Out!"

A talent scout regrets showing Mr. Lund the door after Mr. Lund accidentally left his camera on the desk. Sitting through the act where Mr. Lund demonstrates various locales in the solar system the talent scout is stunned when he examines the camera only to find that there is no film in it.

Synopsis for "The Island of No Return"

Bruce hears that there is money in the Hover Island bank but the locals are strangely reluctant to go to the place. Bruce figures the locals are afraid of ghosts on the deserted island and takes a boat out there himself. He discovers the reason they fear is that whenever he attempts to leave the island he finds himself right back there.
