History
The past history of Namor of Earth-776 mirrors that of his Earth-616 counterpart up until shortly after the Hulk left the Avengers. Much like on Earth-616, the Hulk would soon encounter the Sub-Mariner and after a brief battle the two would agree to join together. They would contact Iron Man and issue a challenge to him and the Avengers unaware that the Avengers had disbanded.
Iron Man would be forced to super-charge his armor and face the two alone after an unsuccessful attempt to reunite the Avengers. During the battle, Iron Man would have the upper-hand against both combatants until his power source would begin to run out. The Sub-Mariner would then make short work of Iron Man, severely beating him and damaging his armor and leaving him for dead. He would then be attacked by the Armored Avengers (Rick Jones, Henry Pym and Janet van Dyne in armor made by Tony Stark). They would prove to be merely a nuisance at best and Namor and the Hulk would have an edge over them in battle. This is until the Hulk would realize that one of the Armored Avengers was his old friend Rick Jones, just as the Sub-Mariner was attempting to dash the young man against some rocks. The Hulk would attack the Sub-Mariner, and battling each other under water, the Sub-Mariner would find the fight futile and flee the scene to plot revenge anew[1].
