Nanny's ship was the base of operation and the primary mode of transport for Nanny and Orphan-Maker. Shaped like a large egg with spider-legs, the ship has been destroyed and rebuilt several times.[6][1][7][8][4][9]
History
Mark I[]
Nanny's ship was first scene ominously hovering over a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. Landing on the roof of a home, Nanny was able to deploy Orphan-Maker to abduct a young mutant child.[10] Nanny next travelled to Kansas City where Orphan-Maker abducted Shelia and Tammy Blake.[11] Nanny's ship was next seen over Hong Kong, where Nanny dispatched Orphan-Maker to rescue a mutant infant targeted by The Right for a demon sacrifice. Nanny's ship next appeared above the State Home for Foundlings in Omaha, Nebraska. While trying to "rescue" mutant infants, Nanny and her Lost Boys (And Girls) were confronted by Cyclops and Jean Grey. Nanny and her orphans were able to escape via her ship.[12]
While Inferno plagued New York City, Nanny continued abducting mutant children. Her ship next appeared over the home of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman in Belle Porte, Connecticut to abduct Franklin Richards. Following in the Fantasti-Car, Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, and Captain America were able to force Nanny's ship to land in Central Park.[13] When Nanny tried to escape, Invisible Woman used her powers to destroy the ship and safely drop the shrapnel in the lake.[6]
Mark II[]
Nanny appears to have quickly rebuilt her ship and attack X-Factor's jet, grounding them in Washington, D.C. near the Washington Monument. X-Factor defeated Nanny, but she and Orphan-Maker were able to escape. However, they did have to abandon their ship.[1]
Mark III[]
Either regaining her old ship or building a new ship, Nanny attacked the X-Men in Cooterman's Creek, Australia. While trying to kidnap Storm, the ship was destroyed by Havoc.[7]
Mark IV[]
To capture a deaged Storm, Nanny flew her ship to New Orleans. However, Storm and Gambit were able to evade Nanny and damage her ship causing it to crash in the Gulf of Mexico.[8]
Lick-A-Lot Ice Cream Truck[]
Unlike her other ships, Nanny has also used the Lick-A-Lot Ice Cream truck with hightech equipment.[3] Years ago, she used the ice cream truck to murder Ricochet's mother.[4] She also used the ice cream truck to attack Generation X.[3]
Mark V[]
While trying to capture Ricochet, Nanny took her new ship to New York City. Although Nanny was able to capture Ricochet and bring him abroad her ship, he was able to free himself and damaged the ship enough to make it crashland.[4]
Mark VI[]
In a more spherical ship, Nanny and Orphan-Maker tried to abduct Trance. In addition to Trance, they also caught Wolverine. The pair was able to free themselves and causing the ship to crash in the process.[14]
Mark VII[]
One of Nanny's ship was repossessed by The Right just prior to the start of the Krakoan era. Although Nanny had a standing request with the Quiet Council to repatriate her ship, it wasn't until Orphan-Maker was resurrected and needed a new armor suit that the Hellions were sent to out procure the ship.[9] While taking the ship, the Hellions were attacked by the Smiley Faced robots. Nanny was able to bring her ship back to Krakoa and build a new suit of armor for Peter, but she also secretly brought an infant Smiley Faced robet to the island.[5]
On Krakoa, Nanny's ship was remotely taken over by Nanny's estranged husband, Dr. Harold Murch. Dr. Wurch was able to detain Nanny and sent the Smiley Baby to his research facility via an escape pod. Although Murch planned to crash Nanny's ship into The Bower on Krakoa, Nanny was able to activate the manual override self-destruct, injurying herself and destroying her ship before it could harm anyone else.[15]Capabilities
- Aural Receptors: Similar to Cerebro, Nanny's ship has the technology to scan individuals to determine if they are genetically a mutant (even before powers have manifested).[11][16]
- Accelerated Maturation: Nanny's ship was equipped a chamber that could accelerate the aging process to mature Nanny's captured infants.[17][12]
- Armory Forge: Nanny's ship was equipped with technology capable of creating incredibly durable armor.[12][9]
