History

The son of Cyclops and a clone of Jean Grey, Nathan Summers' destiny was certain even before his parents met. Cable is a genetically superior mutant who has Omega-Level telekinetic abilities. As a child he was infected with a Techno-Organic Virus that would permanently alter his appearance and slowly transform him into a cyborg. To keep this infection from spreading and ultimately killing him, Cable used his abilities to keep the virus at bay meanwhile becoming a master combatant with enhanced physical abilities.

After M-Day, Cable trained and raised Hope Summers until she became host to the Phoenix Force.

While this version of Cable does not mention being raised in the future in order to treat his virus, it is referenced in the requirements to fight Scarlet Witch, as she requires an achievement named "Time Traveler", where her brother must defeat Cable 5 times.
