History
Year 5[]
Cable fought against Sinister's forces alongside the Brotherhood of Arakko in the war between Krakoa and Arakko. He survived the fight, unlike many other Arakki, and Arakko was destroyed.[2]
Year 10[]
Cable joined Storm's Brotherhood of Mutants and started living on Asteroid S. He also bonded with the remains of Xilo the First Defender and gained all of his knowledge. When Mystique revealed that Sinister possessed a machine that resets reality via clones of Moira MacTaggert, the group went to Muir Island to retrieve it, but Mystique betrayed them by impersonating Wiz Kid, backstabbed Storm, and took the engine with her.[2]
Year 100[]
Still fighting alongside Storm and her Brotherhood, and now calling himself X-Man, the merged Cable and Xilo were instrumental in launching an assault on the World Farm, allowing them to steal the Moira Engine and hide it away, preventing the universe from being reset.[1]
Year 1000[]
At some point in the following 900 years, X-Man lost his life in battle against the Orphan-Madrox. He was fondly remembered for his wise counsel by Jon Ironfire.[3]Trivia
- "X-Man" is an alias traditionally used by Cable's alternate reality counterpart/half-brother Nate Grey.
