History
The history of Nathaniel Malick diverged from his Earth-199999 counterpart when his father was offered a union by time-traveling Chronicoms from the future. Their knowledge of future events allowed the Chronicoms to prevent Wilfred Malick from dying the early 1970, which in turn prevented Nathaniel from being sent Maveth as a sacrifice. In 1973, at the launch party for Project Insight inside the Krazy Kanoe, Nathaniel was held hostage by Daisy Johnson so that her team could leave the place unharmed, and witnessed someone use their superpowers for the first time.[2]
In 1976, on the day Project Insight was supposed to launch, someone hacked Hydra's computer system and Nathaniel was informed that it most likely would be the same person who held him hostage. Excited to see her come back into his life, Nathaniel grabbed a Chronicom weapon and ambushed Daisy and Daniel Sousa, stunning and kidnapping both of them.[2] Nathaniel then contacted Daniel Whitehall to learn from him about the process of transferring Inhuman powers and used it to gain himself the powers of Quake. Much like her, he had a difficulty controlling his new powers at first, which allowed Quake and Sousa to escape.[3] Nathaniel was personally contacted by Sibyl, the Chronicom Predictor capable of reading the timesteam, who gave him precise knowledge of future events.[4]
On October 1983, Nathaniel showed up in Afterlife and prevented Jiaying's daughter Kora from commiting suicide, manipulating her over to his side. He and his followers then attacked Afterlife, capturing many Inhumans[5] and using Whitehall's procedure to copy their powers. Nathaniel also recruited John Garrett by revealing what happened to him in the original timeline and giving him Gordon's power of teleportation.[1] This brought him face to face with future S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, which led to Nathaniel killing Jiaying and heading with Kora into space to meet the arriving Chronicom armada. Nathaniel also had Garrett kidnap Jemma Simmons for him and attempted to extract information about her, but failed and was forced to take her to Sybil directly.[6] Nathaniel was still on the Chronicom ship when it was pulled through a Quantum Realm tunnel into the future of Earth-199999, where came face to face with Quake once more. They fought each other using the same set of powers until Daisy deliberately blew up the Chronicom power generators, causing the ships to explode and Nathaniel to get sucked into space.[7]Attributes
