History
Origin[]
Periodically, every Kang must pause his conquering in order to weave himself into a repeating time loop of varied subjective duration in which he can craft complex plans for his unlooped self's later use. This Kang, a more arrogant and undiscerning iteration, dubbed this chronolooped mind state "He Who Schemes" and adopted it as his modus operandi. As He Who Schemes, this Kang often found himself disappointed by the uninspired and amateurish execution of his chronoschemes by other Kangs. That frustration eventually led him to enact his most treasured plot entirely by himself: the usage of time loops as weapons.[1]
Venom War[]
During the 21st century conflict known as the Venom War, the Flexo protosymbiote brutally attacked Eddie Brock as part of Doctor Doom's revenge plot against him. Because Doom's revenge did not align with his plans of conquest, "Prime" Kang activated a program he secretly encoded into the Rascal symbiote to make it disrupt the plot.[2] To ensure his other self's victory over Doom in their proxy war, He Who Schemes intercepted the time-traveling Fantastic Four of the past and trapped them in an endless mnemonically resetting time loop, which he used to employ the team against Doom whenever he tried to establish his control over Flexo in 1942.
Unbeknownst to He Who Schemes, the Fantastic Four were able to break free of the time loop and concocted a plan to defeat him. When He Who Schemes approached the Fantastic Four again, they engaged him in battle and trapped him inside an endless mnemonically resetting time loop with Doom's Schemebots. With He Who Schemes out of the way, Doom was able to establish control over Flexo, who went on to purge Rascal of "Prime" Kang's influence. This move not only broke Flexo free of Doom's control, but also put an end to the proxy war between Kang and Doom.[1]See Also
