Overview[]
The national defense of Costa Verde is ensured by the National Army of Costa Verde, with General Andres Camarro at its head. They protected the government of President Juan Elmirez.[1]
Rodrigo Valdez and Carlos Gormaz's rebellion[]
Rodrigo Valdez and Carlos Gormaz led a revolt, and used the Living Laser to decimate the government's forces, before being stopped by the Avengers.[1]
El Lobo's rebellion[]
After revolutionary leader El Lobo controlled Firelord and Thor for a time, they eventually regained their senses, captured El Lobo and his men (including Manuel Hidalgo and Gypsy) and delivered them to the army.[1]
Peace[]
Kulan Gath[]
During the subsequent period of peace, an army division was sent to investigate explosions and disappearances in the Kamekeri Valley, and was close to enter the area controlled by Kulan Gath, a zone in which entering would had turned them into barbarian soldiers loyal to Gath.[2]
After having trouble convincing President Elmirez and General Camarro, Iron Man and Wasp managed to, and using a trick from the Scarlet Witch to shield the army from Kulan Gath's spell. The army consequently entered the city, but the brawl became confuse as Kulan Gath invoked N'Garai and turned part of the army by directly casting the spell upon them. Silverclaw's call upon the transformed locals to remember Peliali (the volcano goddess protector of the Kamekeri people that Kulan Gath was upon to sacrifice to obtain godhood), Gath was eventually defeated and the people and village returned to their original states.[3]Paraphernalia
