History

The Witness was an exile from his sub-species known as the Hellbent. Under unknown circumstances, he began experiencing (or "witnessing") a possible future where Nate Grey confronted an armored opponent and the resulting struggle released an apocalyptic wave of energy, devastating Planet Earth. Ness sought out Nate in order to determine if the future he saw was really coming to pass.
