Synopsis for ""The Collective" (Part 3)"

Daisy Johnson used her abilities to cause tremors, so she could read peacefully. Agent Sharon Carter, came to get Daisy back into S.H.I.E.L.D. At the Avengers Tower in Manhattan, Edwin Jarvis is giving out food to the Young Avengers, while they discuss Rick Jones. Iron Man contacts them, needing Vision's help. He threatens to have the other Young Avengers arrested if they go after Vision. Back in Cleveland, The Collective has grown to colossal sizes, and is tearing up the city. The Avengers jet lands, Wolverine, Cage, and Captain American go to meet up with Stark. Spider Woman takes Spider-Man down to the nearest S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ.

Iron Man scans the Collective's near-limitless energy signatures, sending them to S.H.I.E.L.D. The Collective uses Magnetic Manipulation to tear Stark's armor off. Ms. Marvel comes and flies Stark to safety. She resumes her battle with Collective, but he easily defeats her after using a combination of SEVERAL powers. The Sentry arrives knocking Collective out of orbit, and the two begin a battle in outer space. Captain America, Cage, and Wolverine go over to the downed Ms. Marvel. She briefly lost her recent memories, but tells the group about her reactivated Binary powers, and all the powers Collective wielded.

Captain America uses a secrete code to reassemble the Iron Man armor. The armor locates Stark, and takes Captain America to his location. The Collective manages to defeat Sentry, and flies back to earth. At the S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ, a confused Spider-Man is looking for an objective. He meets with Director Hill, Stark now back in his armor contacts Spider-Man. Spider Woman had already left to pick up the other Avengers, while Stark was heading into space to help the Sentry. Vision has arrived at the HQ, and then shows Spider-Man and the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents the footage of Collective's activities in Alaska.

S.H.I.E.L.D. tracks down Michael Pointer, one of the people Collective might be. Vision searches for him in the Avengers files, however matches his energy signatures to all the mutants depowered in M Day. While Collective prepares to re-enter Earth's atmosphere.

Notes

  • There seems to be some questions that need to be summed up behind the video screen including:
    • Quill (Max Jordan), the student, who was actually not depowered. Perhaps he was mistaken with another Quill.
    • Black Tom Cassidy, who only lost his physical mutation, but still retains his energy based powers.
    • The list confirms that Scanner did not die on the Genosha assault by Cassandra Nova in New X-Men #115.
    • It also confirms that Wildside and Reaper did not die in the Weapon X series.
    • With King Bedlam keeping Tarot alive, and with them both being depowered, it was at first unsure if she was even alive or not. It was later confirmed that she did die, as she was later resurrected by Selene and Eli Bard.
    • This also led to a continuity error involving Tarot, since Decimated mutants were confirmed to remain depowered after Selene resurrected them, yet Tarot displayed her powers during Necrosha.
    • Wiz Kid has reappeared and joined the Avengers Academy. The book's writer suggested in interviews that Taki never lost his powers, but used them to alter S.H.I.E.L.D.'s records and place his name on the list of depowered mutants.[citation needed]
