- Cable meets the New Mutants for the first time.
- It is revealed Cable and Moira MacTaggert have met before this issue. That story is eventually told in Cable #-1.
- Rictor recongnizes Cable. It will later be revealed that Rictor believes Cable to be responsible for killing his father, but it was actually Cable's clone, Stryfe, who responsible for his death.
