Synopsis for "The Sextant"
The New Mutants celebrate their new lives on Krakoa, but Sunspot feels that it isn't the same without their old friend and teammate Sam, who is deep in Shi'Ar space with his wife and child. The team decides to give him a visit and jumps on board the Starjammers' ship.
After several days of traveling through space, they make a pit stop at Benevolence, a transit station converted for the storage of exotic material. The Starjammers claim to have business on Benevolence and ask the New Mutants to stay behind. The mutant team, bored of travel, ask to come along, so Corsair fabricates a story about an oppressive religious regime on Benevolence to scare them off. Having only encouraged the New Mutants further, they secretly follow the Starjammers shortly, only to find that the space pirates had entered Benevolence to loot it. When the New Mutants are caught by Shi'Ar troops, the Starjammers leave them behind to fend for themselves.
