Synopsis for "Space Jail"

For stealing a mysterious egg, the New Mutants were kept in jail for one week. Now with Sunspot's lawyer having finally arrvived, they are brought to court, Despite the lawyer, they are found guilty and sentenced to lifetime custody. But their escort are none other than Cannonball and his wife Smasher, who came to their rescue after being alerted by Sunspot's lawyer. Smasher clarifies they are still technically prisoners but plans to resolve it en route to Chandilar. Playful tensions arise between Sunspot and Cannonball, with Sunspot envious of Cannonball's well-being. Smasher snaps Sunspot out of his funk, emphasizing the urgency of their mission.

On their way to Chandilar, Majestor Gladiator sends a hologram with urgent orders for Smasher. Afterwards, she announces their parole but adds they are conscripted into imperial service immediately.

On Chandilar, Empress-to-be Xandra learns from Superguardians Oracle and Mentor about the looming threat of the Titans and the necessity of having a very special advisor.

The New Mutants arrive on another world to pick up that advisor - it is Deathbird.

Solicit Synopsis

The classic New Mutants (Sunspot, Wolfsbane, Mirage, Karma, Magik, and Cypher) get together with a few new friends in Chamber and Mondo. They’re the next generation of mutants and they’re ready to claim their future now...so what better way to do that than a mission to the stars alongside the Starjammers!?
