History

During a gang war between Kingpin and Canis, Spider-Girl needed help hunting down the rampaging team of Angel Face and Funny Face. Inspired by a fly-by of Nova, she decided to bring her friends and allies together as a team of new New Warriors, to focus on the smaller, street-level crime often ignored by the Avengers or Fantastic Five. The team outlived Spider-Girl's own involvement with it, as May went off on her own and made a devil's bargain with the Faces to get them to leave town, without consulting her teammates.
