- Pages 1-6 of this story takes place concurrent with the story in Wolverine (Vol. 3) #25. Although Northstar does physically die in that story, he is soon resurrected as a brainwashed agent of Hydra and The Hand, just as Wolverine, who slew him under their influence, was before him.
- Elektra, who appears briefly in this issue in order to steal Northstar's body, is also a brainwashed pawn of Hydra and The Hand as well.
- After Northstar dies Anole tells Karma that "He [Northstar] was important. He understood me. It was important for me to have someone like him to talk to." Most likely foreshadowing Anole's own sexuality as Northstar was also gay.
