History
New Xandar was a planet belonging to the Xandarians, which became a target for invasion by the Universal Church of Truth. The Nova Corps and its subdivision Supernovas defended the planet from the Church. When it looked like the Church had been sent into retreat, the Church's god Galactus appeared and wiped out everyone on the planet. Later, the Church received a message from Pulsar that its enemy Star-Lord was on Earth and that its heroes were long gone. The Church's leader, the Matriarch, personally told Galactus of this good news.[1]
