History

Noburu-Hideki was the associate of Shingen Harada who married his daughter Mariko in order for Shingen to satisfy an obligation. Wolverine noticed that he beat her and when he first met him when he saw Mariko with him at the Clan Yashida Ancestral Stronghold, scolded her for not waiting for him in their apartments, and threatened to continue to chastise her before the mutant threatened to kill him, declaring that he deserved it and that he would keep beating his wife. However, Mariko convinced Wolverine not to kill him.[1]

Later, Noburu-Hideki went to Tokyo's upper-class Meguro District and told a man at a desk that he and Mariko had been waiting for Shingen quite some time, although his father-in-law was in a conference and could not be disturbed. Then, Yukio, wearing a hat and a trench coat, demanded to see Shingen before Noburu-Hideki introduced himself to her and offered to be of service. Noburu-Hideki and Mariko were both sent by Shingen for a "peace conference" that he arranged with his rival Katsuyori. Before conducting business, Katsuyori wanted to watch a play called "Chushingura" with Noburu-Hideki and Mariko, but when the lead actor drew his katana in an attempt to kill Mariko and her husband, Wolverine intervened and killed the actor. While Wolverine fought the other actors, Katsuyori slapped Noburu-Hideki and vowed that his retainers would deal with him and "his" assassin before he and his wife attempted to escape in their car before they were killed when it exploded.[2]

Noburu-Hideki and Mariko walked in on Shingen fighting Yukio before his wife pleaded with her father to stop, as he was killing her. After Shingen had learned that Wolverine had arrived, Noburu-Hideki attempted to escape with an unwilling Mariko in a helicopter before the mutant appeared in the shadows in front of him. Noburu-Hideki threatened to kill Mariko with a gun and demanded that Wolverine stepped into the light. Then, he shot Wolverine before Yukio threw three knives at his back, killing him, as he fell down.[3]
