Norman was sure he had killed Spider-Man after he didn't see him emerge from the Hudson River. He went to the local crime bosses and told them that he was now in charge, and Spider-Man showed up, making him look crazy. Barely escaping, Norman sent Peter's secret in to the Daily Bugle to expose him, and headed home. There, he told Harry about his secret identity and tried to convince him to help kill Peter. In the end, Harry was willing to sacrifice himself for his crazy dad, and this act destroyed Norman's Goblin identity forever. Peter let the Osborns work out their problems on their own.[citation needed]

Seemingly those of Norman Osborn of Earth-616.
