History

Following the death of his wife and companion Dawn Greenwood, the Silver Surfer offered her family a chance to reunite them with her, in the form of creating Light-Form duplicates of themselves that could come to Inkandessa 4 and live with a fellow Light-Form duplicate of Dawn. The Silver Surfer additionally created a duplicate of himself, so a part of him could live out his days with Dawn.
