Île Notre-Dame was a man-made island in Montreal, Quebec that was one of the venues for Expo 67. Local lawyer Jean-Pierre Rimbaud represented contractors who were looking at developing part of the site for commercial ventures. Their negotiations where interrupted by soldiers in the army who forewarned them danger was present. The danger soon made itself known in the form of the Hulk. The Hulk briefly clashed with Spider-Man, damaging much of the island, before fleeing a military helicopter commanded by Brigadier General Ross.
