History

Oarlock was a member of the Mutie Wanna-Bes, which was a sub-team of the X-Persons.[1] Oarlock disrepected X-Person leader Magneeto and called him Snookums, making use of the fact that every Mutie Wanna-Be pronounced Magneeto's name differently.[2]

At one time, Oarlock joined the rest of the X-Persons to train in the Dingy Room. During the training, X-Person leader Magneeto asked everybody to join Slug in his angst and have some conflict. When they did, Oarlock noticed that he felt at home in that panel.[2]

Soon afterward, Magneeto led the X-Persons in an attack to the Offenger Mansion, erroneously believing that the Offengers were being mind-controlled by the Puppet Mister. Oarlock joined the rest of the X-Person to attack the Offenger Mansion from the roof, throwing the ceiling on the Offengers' head. They then started an all-out fight which was then joined by other super-heroes, motivated mostly by the royalties and sales.[2]

Another day, the X-Persons saved the world three times and then hid in their home because they were being chased by the Ominous consortium of their most deadly and most implacable enemies. Oarlock then asked Orororo for the bathroom, using his peculiar and hard-to-understand slang. The X-Persons were then harassed by several enemies, until the Living Humongous Menhir threw the X-Persons from the top of a cliff.[2] The X-Persons survived because they had felt on Slug (then called Non-Entity) and killed him. However they hadn't noticed and started discussing with each other to see whether they were dead or not, and the X-Persons who thought they were dead decided to settle in Australia. The Mutie Wanna-Bes noticed that Non-Entity was non-breathing and Magnavox from the Wanna-Bes used her powers to watch the previous event and see what had happened. Soon afterward, the Australia-based X-Persons returned for their reasons, in time to join the struggle with other enemies. Eventually, the X-Persons had to fight the Ominous consortium of their most deadly and most implacable enemies.[3]
