History
The daughter of long-deceased Hydra Commander Otto Vermis,[3] Octavia was experimented on throughout her life until she fought her way out of Hydra.[4]
Feeling betrayed by her father, she decided to create her own family and got Herbert Wyndham (the High Evolutionary) to create a clone who she could raise by herself. However, taking care of the baby girl, who she named Ophelia, soon proved to be a challenge, so Octavia kept killing her daughter and cloning her in the hopes of achieving a version she thought was perfect.[2]
After Wyndham warned her he wouldn't continue helping her in this endeavor, Octavia began looking for ways to do it by herself.[5][2] This led her to meet her father's killer: Jessica Drew. At first, it was Jessica who came to her, when she tried to steal near-extinct spiders from her warehouse in the hopes of finding a cure for her disease,[3] but the two met again when Octavia followed her to the laboratory of Miriam Drew, Jess's mother, in Wundagore, Transia.[5]

Human Form
After a short siege of the facility, Octavia used the truth of Miriam being a clone to momentarily delay the Drews and take the research that could potentially help her with her plan, but on her attempted abduction of Rebecca, Miriam sacrificed herself to hold Octavia back, seemingly killing both in the blast of the facility's self destruct.[5]
In reality, Octavia survived and went back to Wyndham, who asked that she bring him Jessica, so he could cure her himself. After finding Jess, she promised to help her and went with her to several key locations to gather the data needed to devise the cure. Jess was then taken by Octavia to Wyndham's secret volcano lair, with an army of Miriam Drew clones as servants.[6]
As Wyndham readied a laser array to cure Jess's condition, Octavia copied his access codes and sent the clones into raging attacks. Now that she had all of Wyndham's technology for herself, she could finally live happily with her daughter without his interference and proceed to achieve perfection. When her daughter, who was actually fond of "uncle Herbert", turned against her, Octavia felt she had no choice but to kill her, hoping to clone her later once more. As Jess was accidentally punched into the array and cured, she turned against Octavia and the two fought, with a motivated Jess also punching Octavia into the array, just as Wyndham had finished programming it to mutate her into a dinosaur slave.[7]See Also
