When a disguised Sub-Mariner educated the United Nations about the history of Atlanteans, the Octo-Squid was one of the beasts that they tamed. It was used in their wars among the water-breathing peoples.[2]
A Octo-Squid participated in the "Running of the Beasts" an Atlantean tradition. Along wit the other beasts, they got out of control and ran amok. Forcing Namor, his warriors, and visiting allies to stop their rampaging and bring them back under control.[1]Powers and Abilities
