History

A heavily guarded chamber at the center of Asgard's Palace, the Weapon's Vault is home to many of Odin's exotic valuables. Odin captured and stole and purchased and did whatever he could to take all the relics and weapons that could bring about Ragnarok (the Asgardian end of times), and he locked them away in a vault in the base of his palace, so anything he thought could bring the universe down is now under lock and key.[2] However, most of the items in the Vault according to Hela are fakes.[4]

Home to the incredibly powerful Casket of Ancient Winters, the Weapon's Vault has always been a prime target for those seeking powerful weapons of destruction. During Thor's crowning ceremony, the Vault is attacked by three Frost Giants attempting to steal the casket. However Odin sensed the Frost Giants in the Vault and activated the Vault's deadliest automaton device Destroyer to dispatch the the Frost Giants.

Casket of Ancient Winters: A Jotun artifact, which contains the Fimbulwinter of Ymir and could create massive snow storms when opened.[2]

Crown of Black Fire: After defeating Surtur, Thor stored the Crown of Black Fire in Odin's Vault. To defeat Hela, Loki combined the Crown of Black Fire with the Eternal Flame to trigger Ragnarok.[4]

Destroyer: Enchanted guardian suit of armor used by Odin to protect his vault until it was stolen by Loki.[2]

Eternal Flame: Mystical flame that cannot be extinguished. It was stolen from Surtur by Odin, Vili, and Ve Borson at the dawn of time so that Surtur could not light his sword and bring about Ragnarok.[2]

Infinity Gauntlet: Dwarven-made gauntlet designed to hold six Infinity Stones.[2] It was later revealed by Hela that the Gauntlet kept in the vault was fake.[4]

Tablet of Life & Time: On the tablet was a biochemical formula for a serum, the so-called Lifeline Formula, which could rejuvenate, heal, and grant its user the chance to reach the full evolutionary potential of its race turning the user into an immortal near omnipotent.[2]

Tesseract: After it was returned to Asgard, the Tesseract was housed in Odin's Vault before it was stolen by Loki.[2] Following the Battle of New York, Thor returned the Tesseract to the vault.[6][7] During Ragnarok, Loki again stole the Tesseract, bring it aboard the Statesman[4] where Thanos was able to obtain it.[8]

Tuning Fork: An item used by Asgardians to summon the Lurking Unknown for their rites of passage.[2]
