History
Blessed by the Earth Mother Gaea (known to the Vodū as "Nana" or "Ale"), the Ofo Rod is a vegetative staff wielded by Shango which grants him protection from physical assaults when in direct contact with the Earth realm (i.e., takes root in Earth).[1][2]
