History

Sins of Sinister: First Decade[]

Storm's origins and past equal those of her mainstream counterpart, in which she was an important political figure in the Quiet Council of Krakoa and the Great Ring of Arakko. The timeline diverged due to Mister Sinister's machinations of tainting humanity and mutandom by introducing his vile genome to uncountable victims through the Resurrection Protocols. By rejecting resurrection, Storm was free from his influence, but was also unaware that her closest allies had been corrupted versions of Sinister.[2]

One year later, the Quiet Council secretly lobotomized the consciousness of Krakoa and blamed Orchis for the attack, prompting Storm join the Avengers and the X-Men in striking at Orchis' forces together. Storm participated in the killing of Nimrod alongside with Thor. Over the following years, mutantkind machinated their control over the planet, eliminating opposition through treachery and deception.[2] Their cruel ascension turned Storm disillusioned with her mission. Five years after Sinister had secretly infiltrated mutant society, Storm noticed that Nightcrawler had been replaced by an impostor, prompting Mister Sinister to reveal himself and his actions. The Quiet Council attempted to subdue Storm, but she escaped to Peru thanks to Lactuca, where she was met by Destiny and Mystique who proposed an alliance.[2]

Storm resisted in Arakko for the following years, leading her Brotherhood of Mutants against Mister Sinister's cloned Chimeras. However, a clone of Legion was used to obliterate Planet Arakko, and the few Arakkii survivors retread into hiding.[2] Having lost much, Storm remained in the debris of Arakko, dubbed Asteroid S, with her right-hand man Jon Ironfire, former S.W.O.R.D. agents Cable and Wiz Kid and the Arakkii Khora of the Burning Heart and Quick as part of her Brotherhood. Mystique eventually approached Storm in Asteroid S to reveal about Mister Sinister's Moira Engine, a machine that could reset reality via clones of Moira. Storm and the Brotherhood went to Muir Island to retrieve Mister Sinister's lab, but Mystique betrayed them by impersonating Wiz Kid. She mortally wounded Storm, paralyzing her, and took the engine with her to the World Farm under Orbis Stellaris' guidance.[3]

Year 100[]

Over the course of a century, Storm led the underground freedom fighters known as the Brotherhood to fight against both Sinister's Red Diamond Empire and Stellaris' Interstellar Compact. Storm became known as "the Old Witch." A rival insurgent cell called the Freedom Force trasmitted the location and schematics of the Compact's Death Sphere to Arakko Base.

After Mystique's death, Destiny joined with Storm and the Brotherhood to set off the Moira Engine and reset the timeline. They attacked the Death Sphere, but before they destroyed the Center-Sun that contained the Moiras, Storm had Destiny killed. Storm believed that Arrako's destruction did not justify eliminating an entire timeline so her true plan was to teleport the Moiras away to defuse and guard. Khora magnified Storm's mutant powers and she mixed it with magic to open a wormhole that teleported the World Farm away. However, the price of this feat was her life and she died smiling.[1]

Year 1000[]

Over the next 900 years, Storm's brotherhood, now led by Jon Ironfire, turned the World Farm into an impregnable fortress. After 900 years of searching, Mr. Sinister finally found the World Farm and his lab. Pursued by an Empire of the Red Diamond armada, Sinister and Ironfire entered into a temporary alliance. Sinister used genetic material of Storm and Hope Summers, together with five Brotherhood mutants, to resurrect Storm, though without the memories of the original.[4]

Boosted by Khora, Storm destroyed the armada. Lacking the experience of her original self, Storm did not shield herself from the resultant radiation, and died once again.[4]
