Dr. Whitman Knapp was on the medical staff of Ottawa General when he was attacked by Vindicator (Heather McNeil) who was under the influence of the Dreamqueen.[1]
When Alpha Flight returned from an alternate dimension, two of its members (Shaman and Puck) fell ill. Both had been injured while in the alternate dimension and the forces used to heal them there began to dissipate. The two were hospitalised at Ottawa General.[2]
Puck, who had been in the alternate dimension longer and had suffered more injuries, needed to stay longer. He was abducted from the hospital by agents of the Master of the World for experimentation. [3]
