History

Paris Peters was a conman from Syracuse who was placed in D-Block of Sing Sing after Peters set fire to an empty house as part of an insurance scheme, accidentally causing several kindergartners nearby to have been killed when the fire got out of control. When World War Three occurred, Paris and a few others (including the Punisher) took shelter in a bunker beneath the prison. Within months, Paris and the Punisher were the only ones left, their companions having either killed each other or taken their own lives.

When a year passed, Paris and the Punisher left the bunker and set out for a secret shelter (which another inmate had told the Punisher about) situated beneath the remains of the World Trade Center, the two getting exposed to radiation on their way. Upon gaining access to the shelter, the Punisher killed everyone in it, blaming the end of the world on their greed and corruption despite them being the last of the human race and having the embryos to rebuild it. When Peters asked Punisher why he did it, Punisher replied "you've seen the human race leads to."

With both men having an hour left to live before they succumbed to their radiation poisoning, Punisher asked Peters why a small time con artist was sent to the D-Block of Sing-Sing leading to Peters tearfully admitting his past. The Punisher then strangled Paris, commenting "see what I mean about the human race", having known all along about his involvement in the fire that killed the children. Afterwards the Punisher spent his last moments alive trying to wander to Central Park.[1]
