History
Patrick Healy was a Daily Bugle reporter working on a Pulitzer-level exposé on the Black Cat's criminal enterprise. Because of this, the Black Cat sent two of her enforcers, Lee Price and Scorpion to Healy's apartment to intimidate him.
Scorpion smashed through Healy's door and prepared to kill him, but Price reminded him the Black Cat asked for no bodies. Scorpion then revealed he had his own plan to to kill Price and pin the crime on Healy. The turn of events prompted Lee to turn into Venom to save Healy from Scorpion, resulting in Gargan accomplishing his actual plan, to root out whichever secret Lee was hiding from him, that he possessed the symbiote.[1]
When Venom took the fight with Scorpion to the streets, Healy called the Daily Bugle to inform them of Black Cat's attempted hit on him. Price, having escaped from Scorpion's sight, interrupted Patrick and subdued him. After taking him to a rooftop, Price threatened Healy into telling him every piece of information he had gathered on the Black Cat.[2]
