Paul Rudd was casted as Ant-Man/Scott Lang by Edgar Wright for the film Ant-Man. When Wright and writer Joe Cornish left the project due to creative differences, director Peyton Reed and writer Adam McKay were brought on board, while Rudd additionally helped with the rewrites, which also earned him a screenplay credit.[1] Rudd later went on to co-write the sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp.
