History

Peng Lai (彭来) is a mystical island located in a pocket dimension, and one of the Seven Capital Cities of Heaven. Beneath it lives the serpent Xiang Yao, and it is protected by a line of warriors who bear the name Cobra. The island itself is a paradise of balmy weather and plenty. However, it has a wide society, from kung-fu masters to princes to pig farmers.

Notes

• Peng Lai comes from Chinese mythology, where it is regarded as a base for the Eight Immortals. It is entirely white when seen from the outside, and is a land of plenty, with no winters, never-emptying cups, and fantastical fruit trees which produces universal cures and jewellry. At least some of these elements may have carried over to Earth-616's version of the island.
