History

Peter Parker was an ordinary teenager who lived with his Aunt and Uncle in Queens. During a lab demonstration at his school, Peter was bitten by a spider that had been imbued with radiation, granting him the powers of a spider. With his newfound powers, Peter entered a wrestling match and defeated Crusher Hogan. When he went home, he created his suit and Web-Shooters and debuted himself as Spider-Man. One night, an officer told Spider-Man to stop a crook that was running from him, but the hero was tired of being told what to do and ignored the officer. When Peter went home, he discovered that his uncle Ben had been killed, so he went off to find the killer but when he found him, he realised it was the same crook that he let escape earlier. Peter was devastated at this but he soon remembered uncle Ben's words that with great power comes great responsibility and he continued fighting crime as the Amazing Spider-Man.[1]

Peter wearing the black suit

During the Secret Wars, Spider-Man fought alongside the Avengers on Battleworld. His suit ended up getting damaged so he fixed it by bonding with the black suit. With the suit's organic webbing, he was able to help the heroes win the Secret Wars. When he returned back to Earth, Spider-Man kept using the black suit but after each day the suit became harder for him to remove until it took him an entire hour to take off. Peter realized something was wrong and decided to visit Reed Richards at Four Freedoms Plaza. Reed did tests on the suit in his lab and discovered that it was actually an alien Symbiote. When Peter found this out, the suit tightened its grip on him and he ran off in a panic, making his way to a cathedral bell tower. Peter used the bell to loosen the Symbiote from him until Reed shot it with a sonic blaster. Reed trapped the Symbiote in a container and kept it so he could study it further.[2]
