Great power. Great responsibility. And even greater grief.

King in Black[source]

History

Peter Parker (Earth-24110) from Venom War Spider-Man Vol 1 3 002

Peter Parker of this reality diverged from his Earth-616 counterpart during the Venom War, when he kept the Venom symbiote while at the same time Mary Jane Watson had mastered and merged with the Arachniote. Peter became the new King in Black and ruled with MJ as his side. However, the Arachniote eventually consumed Mary Jane, and Peter never trusted anyone again, including his friends and his daughter May who eventually fled from him with Groot to space.

Left alone as the King in Black, Peter took command of the Symbiotes and used them to forcefully bring peace to the universe, violently reshaping space and destroying all who opposed him. He deluded himself into believing that he was protecting the living and honoring the memory of the fallen while doing so, even as the Universe became emptied and the Milky Way galaxy was dying. The last group of surviving Avengers gathered on Earth to oppose him and put an end to his madness, but Parker sensed their threat from afar. He journeyed to Earth and was able to effortlessly kill them all, including the Arachniote who unbeknownst to him had bonded to his daughter May. May revealed her face to her father as she lay dying in his arms. This future reality was shown in a vision to Peter Parker of Earth-616 by the Eventual.[1]
