Peter Parker had the same history as his Earth-616 counterpart until the last act of the Clone Saga. He returned to the Spider-Man identity to help Ben Reilly (secretly his future version) battle Judas Traveller. During the battle, Scrier sent Peter back five years with no memory of the past five years. He was then manipulated by the Jackal into believing he was a clone. He than left New York to allow his "genetic template" to live his life and renamed himself Ben Reilly. His history then followed the same path as the Ben Reilly of Earth-616 until said day his life diverged from mainstream Peter Parker. After Peter was sent back, Scrier proposed he bring back Peter for a bargain. He then gave back all Ben's repressed memories which made him realize the Peter Parker isn't his genetic template, Ben Reilly is Peter Parker. Scrier revealed himself as Mephisto and demanded his end of the deal: the soul of Peter Parker, but Judas convinced Mephisto to take his soul instead.[1]
