History

As Spider-Man in the Mindscape

Wanting a body of his own, Doctor Octopus' digitized consciousness sent his former self's body to New U Headquarters so it could be cleansed of any illness or abnormality affecting it. But when New U Technologies recreated his body, a copy of Spider-Man's consciousness was also created. Otto entered the body and confronted Peter's duplicate just as he was being activated and deleted him.
