History

Star-Lord shared a similar history to his Marvel Cinematic Universe counterpart. He and the Guardians of the Galaxy were captured by The Collector and brought them to the Collector's Fortress. Rocket escaped, hacked into the Collector's system, and freed the other Guardians. Star-Lord later joins the Guardians in stopping Eson a Celestial from using Xandarian technology to destroy the Earth.
